Actor Gio Espiritu Wins Film Festival Praise for Directorial Debut — Philippine Daily Inquirer

— by Cherie M. Querol Moreno: Actor and acting teacher Giovannie Espiritu has added double rainbow feathers in her cap.  The Philippine-born, San Francisco-raised Los Angeles transplant is now a screenwriter and filmmaker with a special nod for her directorial debut.

Espiritu’s film, “Ultra-Feminist” will screen at Outfest, the oldest film festival in Los Angeles and the world’s preeminent LGBTQ film festival, at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 20, at the world-famous TCL Chinese Theaters.
