… The 2019 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia does just that. The festival officially kicked off on April 3 with a breaking of a sake barrel, but the real fun begins April 6 and runs through April 15. During that time, the festival will be hosting a wide variety of events throughout the city including tea ceremonies, drumming workshops and sushi classes.

The cherry blossom festival will also include a Sake Garden (think beer garden) outside Shofuso Japanese House and Garden. At the Sake Garden, which is also part of Parks on Tap, guests will be able to enjoy Asian fusion fare, beer and cocktails underneath the trees. It’ll be open on select days starting at 1 p.m.

The star of the festival, however, is Sakura Sunday on April 14. It’s a day-long celebration with live music, arts and crafts, sushi contests and cosplay shows…
