Limkokwing Uni highlights cultural opulence on London runway

Seen in a show recently as part of London Fashion Week were the stylish designs of students and alum from Limkokwing University. These played on trendy silhouettes, with luxe fabrics as the focus.
The designers sourced materials from their home countries for the garments. They went to countries such as Botswana, Lesotho, Indonesia, Iran and of course, Malaysia, to find the right materials to inject into the collection.
Since the very first London show in 2012, Limkokwing University has incorporated rich cultural prints from different countries where the university’s campuses are located. The shows aim to present Asian and African cultures to a more western audience. They also look to highlight diversity in terms of making fashion globally inclusive…
